Solidarity with Ukraine
“We come here in peace to show that we care.” ---People worldwide gathering to protest the Russian attack on Ukraine
The atrocity and grief of war rages on in Ukraine. I wake up in my bed every morning realizing that the people of Ukraine, unlike me, can’t sleep during the night. Their nights are filled with the sound of bombs blasting and gun shots ringing out through the streets. The destruction is beyond tragic. Thank you to the many humanitarian organizations that are helping with food, shelter and passage out of Ukraine for women and children.
This violent atrocity has affected me personally. My cherished yoga instructors are from Ukraine. For the past three years I’ve been forming a virtual relationship with Julianna and Mark, the creators of Boho Beautiful, an online conscious living program. https://bohobeautiful.life/ Julianna and Mark are two of the most dedicated people I know that offer inspirational yoga, meditation and vegan lifestyle videos that promote the health and healing of body, mind, and spirit. With over 2 million subscribers on YouTube, they have helped so many people, me included! Yesterday while scrolling through their video offerings, I discovered a film documenting their trip back to Ukraine. (They immigrated to Canada years ago). https://youtu.be/vkKkXktdqL8 Seeing the Ukrainian towns, country-side and families is heart- warming, yet bittersweet knowing the devastation of what once was.
“Our love is an act of choice built upon an intention of goodness that we can share and emanate to our wakening world. Sharing our love and light is the ultimate contribution we can make.” Julianna and Mark
For Julianna and Mark and all Ukrainian families our intention of goodness is sharing our love and light with you, to help you in these dire times with….sunflowers. Amid the darkness of war sunflowers, the official flower of Ukraine, are emerging as a symbol of unity. A growing movement of people all over the world is being shared on social media. Sunflowers are everywhere. People with sunflowers in their hands, hair or back packs are coming together in town squares to pray and protest. Houses are adorned with them and proceeds from sales of sunflowers are being donated to Ukraine as a way to say we are in this together.
We show you as the wakening world that we care, our love is strong and we are one with you.
Intention: Purchase sunflowers for your home or office. When you look at them send your kindness and love to all people of Ukraine.
