The process of completing my memoir was cathartic and transcendent. However, I would have quit long ago if writing the book were just for my own healing. What continued to inspire me and keep me going was knowing that my story would resonate and offer hope for thousands of families that have been impacted by incarceration.  I knew I had to write this book. As Terry DeMeo, JD, professional master coach whom I greatly admire said in the foreword, “This book will be an invaluable guide and inspiration for families of the incarcerated. It can also help any of us who have been raised by dysfunctional parents. It’s the story of how we human beings can rise, we can awaken, and we can face great challenges with dignity and resilience.”
